This might not be a design project, but it is one of the biggest things i've achieved in my life.

 

This is the 4th anniversary issue of G mag; a guide magazine for Cairo. G mag was the personal guide for Cairo, how to survive Cairo, how to stay positive and fresh amidst all, where to find interesting workshops or cultural events, restaurant and movie reviews.

 

This anniversary issue was in turn the guide about the reader. It is a 290 page book that you fill up yourself with answers to questions about all that pertains to you; your physical aspects, emotional, spiritual, egotistical, emotional, and futuristic you.

The book is full of questions and dares and requests to doodle, to glue things, to bond over other people in ponderings, to create playlists, and to jot down your dreams.

 

It is also full of photography by amateur and rising photographers.

 

This book was put together in 45 days by only 3 people, the designer Kareem Osman, the associate editor and co-writer Nayla Aramouni, and myself as editor in chief. It was really the biggest challenge i've ever taken up in my life.
